i'm getting offered $100 for my TFC soundblaster. i have it listed at $115 buy-it-now. box is not perfect. do i accept?

 

yeah...i've ordered Star Wars 12 inch figures ...and they came the same way. one air pocket, 4 crushed ends and scratched windows.

 

that's ... about market price.

with the TRU Soundwave (aka blue Soundblaster) around, I'm surprised that TFC18 prices haven't tanked.

if all goes as i expect, i should about break even with how much i spent on the TFCs, and still get to keep all the autobot car TFCs (minus TRU counterparts that i'm also keeping) so really, the only guys i really care to keep.

so that's pretty damned awesome. don't want to jinx myself though. :noes:

seemed like there was tampering with the tape on the top flap too... that was the case for a few of these TFCs.. if all boxes were mint, i probably wouldn't be selling.. oh wells.

as it stands right now it looks like selling half of them i'll make all my money back and still have 9 or 11 of these jerks (depends on if i decide to let go of kup & wheelie, and blaster) that i'm going to keep for myself. i think that's pretty awesome.

in other news, my pepsi prime didn't arrive yet.. :thinking:

Hmmm. Pepsi Prime will be there today, it has to be. I got my 2 in yesterday. They were in great condition. I find myself to be very fortunate in this case. The shipping box was gigantic and air pillows were abundant.

1 Prime is mint. The other is mint with factory markings on it. Nothing too big, but it looks like it was on the bottom of a pile. No crushed corners, but the interior plastic carton imprinted the bottom of the box.

Some Alternators are a lock. There were certain figures that saw piss poor distibution and have always been worth a grip.
- Decepticharge - Honda S2000
- Swerve - Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06
- Mirage - Ford GT


These have exploded out of nowhere.
- Wheeljack - Ford Mustang GT
- Shockblast - Mazda RX-8
- Prowl - Acura RSX

Alternators: Predictions
Keep your eye on these. The first 3 were molds used once for mass distribution. The last one is a more logical color scheme for the Ford Mustang.
- Skids - Scion xB
- Rumble - Honda Civic Si
- Optimus Prime - Dodge Ram SRT-10
- Grimlock - Ford Mustang GT



Classics: Advice
BotCon and the TF Movie have generated much interest in this line ... 2 months AFTER the last case was shipped. These are a dead lock for price increases:
- Megatron (Voyager, handgun)
- Starscream (Deluxe, jet fighter)
- Jetfire (Voyager, armored space fighter)
- Grimlock (Deluxe, Tyrannosaurus)


Classics: Predictions
Some classics were phased out too quickly and saw limited shelf life. These will move into the "lock" status soon:
- Bumblebee (Deluxe, compact car w/ Wave Crusher jetski on trailer/flight pack)
- Astrotrain (Deluxe, NASA orbiter/bullet train triple changer)
- Skywarp / UM Target Exclusive

These figures are FANTASTIC and under appreciated. Look for a steady increase over time.
- Ramjet (Deluxe, jet fighter)
- Cliffjumper (Deluxe, compact car) - repaint of Classics Bumblebee



TFC: Advice
I've been preaching the following figures for years now.
- Optimus Prime (00)
- Starscream (09)
- Soundwave (10)
- Minibots (12)
- Insecticons (17)
- Soundblaster (18)

The 00 pricing seems to have no limits. It keeps reaching and passed the $350 mark not too long ago. TFC12 is so rare, I can't even find good comparison data on that.

I'd SELL TFC10 asap. The Encore line will offer something better than what was previously seen.

These have hit some strange internet cult status.
