by the way, looks like classics (or whatever) devastator is out. there were about 20 of them at the local walmart today.

I did find TF Movie toys. Protoform Optimus Prime & Protoform Starscream. They were both ugly as sin. They looked like angular robot spooges. Rocklords are prettier than these things.

Also, the non-boxed exclusives are looking like ...
Elita 1 - a pink repaint of Cybertron's Thunderblast (new head too)
Huffer - orange and blue repaint of Cybertron's Armorhide
Springer - green repaint of Cybertron's Defense Hotshot
That Alpha Trion takes the cake though. That head / paint scheme is unreal.

the classics boxset is pricey, it's 5 figures deep and comes in this fantastic case. ($279) According the Pete@Botcon, posted @ TFW, the boxsets are over 75% pre-soldout. With mainstream characters @ Botcon only, that's only a sign that the Classics line is pretty much overwith. Hasbro would never make something a Botcon exclusive and release it 4 months later on a retail shelf.
the non-boxset, botcon exclusive figures come in sealed bags. Those can range from $20 to $80.
Botcon figures are highly desirable due to the lack of distribution (1 weekend only) and relative small quantities made. There has never been an Alpha Trion figure. There has never been an Elita-1 figure. Ever.

It's a damn shame that those jets never made it to retail. I actually feel screwed by the entire thing, but oh well.
Dirge is a repaint of Ramjet. TC is a repaint of Starscream. Short pack a single serve Skywarp. That could have been a case assortment on its own. I don't mind repaints of figures that make sense.
I guess with the only feasible repaints being jets ... the average consumer won't buy them since they're 3 of the same thing on 1 shelf.

Repaints of Thundercracker and Skywarp with custom G1 packaging done with photoshop and Illustrator. I incorporated the IDW wallpapers and retro seeker art. The rest is redrawn including the logo and tech specs.
Just want to say thanks to those members who have done their own repaints and inspired me so much. Shout out to Boggs6ft7 as the trendsetter!
My focus is going to be on custom packaging in the near future. Look for my post of my Masterpiece Convoy G1 package.
