Get the JDM Cybertron episodes from Andrew, and we'll see. Watching the episodes is what did it for Egg.

Cybertron Excillion (aka G1 Hot Rod)

 

It was right around the TRU coupon/sales time, and I ended up buying almost all the toys available. I already knew I was going to do that before I started watching all of the episodes, but that really kicked into gear for me.

I have since stopped because of the lack of sales and decent BOGO deals at the TRU's near me. I think I haven't been to a TRU in over a month.

start hitting up Target. They're doing these strange story based bogos.

 

yeah, i've seen those a bunch of times..

and dammit, that's pretty hot. i feel like the line is all over the place though. maybe because i haven't watched the cartoon..

 

at first, all the TV character figures come out. When those are done, Hasbro does a second run of freaky repaints. These will be heavily G1 inspired to sucker in the hard core fans.

Since sales start to sag around repaint time, finding the ones you like gets pretty brutal.
