aaaaaand this is when the poison spreads.

The first Ultra Magnus reissue was released 2000.

At the "Japan Fantastic Convention" or Jafcon, the yellow Ultra Magnus was released. These were done in an extremely limited number, 800 to be exact. If you look at Suba's #1 figure, he has the black Optimus Prime as his favorite ... this was also released at Jafcon and is often called "Jafcon Prime"

The blue Ultra Magnus is an "e-hobby" release. The pre-transformer version of Ultra Magnus was colored like this. Diaclone sold this toy as "powered" Convoy ... nothing more than armor for Prime.

The yellow UM always fetches the highest prices because of it's rarity. When a MISB yellow Jafcon Magnus hits e-bay, the bidding starts almost immediately.

The blue one, even though not as rare as the yellow, is a bitch to find at a decent price. That said, Andrew's got the blue Magnus. It's freaking cool as shit. I call it Smurfy Magnus.

"This auction is for 3 different version of Ultra-Magnus. One of them is the Toys R Us (US) re-issue that is MIB. He has been opened and posed. His stickers have been applied. I have included all of his missles, however, for posing purposes, I altered one set of his missles to fit like the original (as you know, the new version had those long stupid looking missles) but they don't shoot.

The other 2 versions are the Japanese Re-issues, one representing the diaclone line and the other is supposed to represent Ultra Magnus when he accepted the matrix of leadership from Prime in the move (or so I'm told). Either way they are both really cool and have the stickers applied. Both have been posed only and put back in their boxes."

I was horrified when I read this. Who in their right mind would open oddball blue or yellow UM's? As I read further on, it looks like this nut doesn't really know what he had to begin with. Then I looked at the picture. Cute table, can't see the tips of the person's feet. Girl's feet? I checked the seller's other auctions, and this person has sold off a good chunk of a G1 collection.


I'm betting some guy let his GF talk him into selling all of his shat on e-Bay to pay for fluffy pillows and Sweedish furniture from IKEA.


If you want opened ones to display, this isn't a bad auction. He did fook with the missles on the TRU UM, but you can always buy missles on e-Bay.

I put up a "40 Year Old Virgin" shelf over my closet today. :a:

I had to swap around the one bookcase and utility shelf to get the clearance for the new shelf over the closet. I had to take everything down.

You really don't know how much stuff you actually have until you have to move it all.

 

ok guys, i need your expertise. i was admiring TFC-00 earlier today, when i noticed something odd with the silver stripe sticker on the cap (pic below). it appears as if the corner was mushed up a little by hand.

now, all the seals are intact, and they do appear original. i mean, i realize it must be pretty easy to clean off the old tape and apply new, but everything looks a-ok. so, am i just being paranoid, and could this have been just a mess up from the factory? or was my poor optimus opened and handled??

I think you're ok. I checked mine, and it looks like the silver sticker didn't fully contact at the point where yours lifted a little. Probably just a factory glitch during packaging.

 

Reno, your primes are fine. All 7 of mine are like that.
