No, it didn't. Production for the NSX moved in mid-2004 from the special Tochigi factory (which had been building the NSX, S2000, and Impact) to the Suzuka factory, where many Acura/Honda models are built. NSX production continued up until a few months ago (second half of 2005).

Neither the Tochigi factory nor the Suzuka factory burned down.

Sale of the NSX Coupe (with the fixed roof) was discontinued in North America beginning with the 2002 model year, but continued to be available in some overseas markets. The NSX-T (with the removable roof panel) continued to be available in North America through 2005.
I work at that factory, its still here, just shifted product output to another facility because the new tools were cheaper to ship to the other facility than all the way up here.

I'd hate to see a car so beautiful not being driven.

Either two people have identical tastes here, or someone is lying. Check this page out. It's the same car, but this one has way more pics and state that the car is a 97. http://custom.autos.yahoo.com/galler...&start=5&sel=5

edit - I'm not calling the poster a liar, but if it is his car he might want to find out who else is claiming it to be theirs... Or clear up this confusion.

The poster is legit, unless there is another poster at NSX prime with the same car :eek5r:

not to say someone is a liar, but a nsx owner may not know or care to post their car on nsxprime.... but then again teh other could have stole it from him... vice versa... how ever you wish to phrase it , but is you notice on
http://custom.autos.yahoo.com/galler...&start=5&sel=5 the guy can even tell what parts on on teh car.. so in my mind their is some doubt to the authenticity of the beginging post of this thread.
and yes if it is really his car, why not post a comment or a few on teh yahoo claiming the rights to his car....
