I would imagine the concept at NYIAS then production in the summer or fall.
It's just my guess but I think Honda will put a 300+ HP V6 in like the rumors say. :dunno: That sort of power is on par with competing cars that have a V8. Plus I'm assuming the RL will be a little lighter with a V6 and get better fuel economy ( if that even matters for cars in this class ). A V8 would be great though. Then maybe Honda could make a RL type S with over 400 HP haha :naughty:

Yeah um Acura has kind of stopped with the Type-S nomenclature if you haven't noticed. Perhaps an RL A-SPEC once they get the A-SPEC line established in the RSX, TSX and TL (I.E. engine enhancements).
The A-Spec line is going to fizzle. It's not really even a "line" but a kit of overpriced dealer-installed accessories sold in miniscule numbers of 1000 per model per year. It's completely stupid on Acura's part. Lexus tried the same thing with L-Tuned and it went nowhere. Make higher performance versions of the cars from the factory, or don't bother at all.
As for the RL, it has been all but confirmed by Acura that it will have a normally aspirated, non-hybrid V6 displacing somewhere between 3.5 and 3.8 liters with an output of 300 hp run through an awd drivetrain. Any speculation about a future hybrid verison is just that--speculation.

I agree with MrFatBooty, A-Spec is just another L-Tuned.
I dont see why when everyone is making their performance line ups, Acura takes them away. On the other hand, more standard performance is a very good thing. That seems to be the route Infiniti is taking.
I say bring Type S back. It sounds nicer than A-Spec anyways.

Acura sells about 65,000 TLs a year, so 1000 A-Spec versions make up only about 1.5 percent of the total. Acura sells 25,000 RSXs, so 500 would be 2 percent."
