the 240sx isn't a high rev car...it uses a truck engine much like the current 2.5 in the new altima/sentras...it has lots of low end torque making it much easier to daily drive but limiting it in the upper rpms
When I bought the 240SX my dad found it very amusing that it had the same engine (KA24DE) as his truck. I thought that it sucked.

Jaje when were you led to believe that the 7th gen has the J30? And I've heard 240hp confirmed.

the new 3.0 liter v6 is based off the j30 and the 240hp is confirmed but it won't have that much in torque...that was the 220 lb ft tq #

Yeah, I thought you said 220 hp, but ft/lbs...sorry. Is it seriously based off the J30? Why not just create a new generation of i-VTEC V6's so they can eventually go into the TL, MDX, Pilot, and Ody?

"based off the J30" they can add VTC to engine, so just becuase its based off the J30 doesnt mean its NOT i-VTEC. O well, we'll just have to wait and see on this one, but I think we'll know within a month.

I understand they can add VTC yianni, but it would make more sense to design a brand new i-VTEC V6 (that is smoother and more refined with more low end oomph) in order to use the basic block in other designs.
