Hey guys, I found the Japanese website for the Mazda 3, or the Axela as it will be known in Japan. It has more exterior pics as well as a spec sheet which I can't read. Hopefully someone can translate for us. There's also interior shots - 99% unchanged from the concept as far as I can see. This car looks like its going to be a winner.

This car will not only handles well, it seems like it'll have HP to back up that handling as well. 170HP is as much as the MSP right now. I wonder what the next MSP/Mazdaspeed3 will be like. But if they can stuff that 2.3L in there, here's something to think about. They showed us the Mazdaspeed 6 with the 2.3L I4 turbo charged with 280HP, so we know that this engine can handle boost and will fit in the Mazda3. I think they're ready for what ever HP the competition is throwing at them.

I like that. Although, I want to see the sedan. And what's wrong with making a regular wagon?

My only issue is with the design of the taillights.... A side effect of Intense Altezza Hatred Syndrome, I guess.
