And I've seen a lot of the Hybrids around. They're all over (well not "all over", but a lot) around Berkeley and Davis.

Well, the Civic Hybrid owns all other hybrids. Until the Dualnote

good points...
i am just happy that they are finally ignoring the oil companies bids to buy ideas and bury them and going ahead and starting to experiment. It'll be liek CDs... the price will go down eventually (unless there is a computer program that downloads cars for free).

37mpg is still better mileage than you'd find in a conventional Civic, and the price is only about $2,500 more than a fully loaded EX Sedan. So why are people complaining? This is no Insight...the Insight goes above and beyond for fuel economy, such as feather-light weight, tapered rear end panels and rubber band-thick tires.
The Hybrid offers realistic everyday driving practicality. Besides, the guy likely had a lead foot.
