2004 Pontiac GTO unwrapped
since you guys asked for more info-
Here my freinds we have the best of the best, a limited edition race bred bitumen pounder-
The HRT-427, a C5R Monaro, it is a few chromosomes short of a full-on V8 supercar. 1/4 mile in sub 11s, over 300kmh top speed, close to 700hp, if youve got 100K it could be yours, only 50 beeing made for moment (and all spoken for).

Wow! Carbon fiber intake manifold and hood, K&N FIPKs, twin intakes. Not too shaby. But since we aren't getting these, as nice as they are, I would like like to know more about the standard Monaro. Mainly, is it a reliable, long lasting car with minimal maintainance? How solid is the interior (shakes, rattles, any cheap plastic)? In other words, I think what I'm asking is if you can be our Consumer Reports. I would like to think this car is built better than most of the Detroit kits. Perhaps you could compare Holden's reputation as a whole in Australia to that of Honda, Toyota, and BMW.
mmm... black housing headlights on that monaro. that red one looks really nice. the grille, lights, and body kit really make the car stand out. too bad GM is too stupid to bring those over too.
does anyone know how big the car is? the design makes it look large, but it could just look that way. my only complaint (overall) is that the door panels are too plain. otherwise i think it looks pretty good.
the pontiac version, however, is even more plain with the different front end. when i look at it, nothing really makes me feel that there is anything special about it - and you would think a new GTO should be exactly the opposite. it sure is better than any other pontiac design in recent history, but again, the design of the car isn't striking at all.

Shhhhh...... don't give Pontiac any ideas. Give them an inch and they'll take a mile! I don't think you want the plastic toy cladding again, do you?
