Oh jeez, I'm tired of arguing. I don't hate all FWD. Just some.

If the SRT-4 was RWD or AWD I'd be liking it just as much as I like the WRX.

It's just that I hate FWD, regardless of who it is made by.

I tire of it too. But please, stand by your convictions. If everyone thought alike it would suck. My take is that if Honda can make the CL-S 6 speed handle just as good as the BMW 330Ci, what's wrong with FWD?

I'm not sure what parallel universe you're currently occupying; since when does a CL-S handle as nicely as a 330Ci?

Whatever, that is totally off the topic.

So to recap:

ILuvItTheJDM is a hypocrite.

RWD > FWD unless you're in the snow. Usually. But not always. And that doesn't mean FWD cars are bad. And, and and.

I like the SRT-4. Gotta bring it back to the SRT-4 yall!

I am dying to make a smart ass remark, but I won't. Quoth Car and Driver and Brock Yates comparing the CL-S 6 speed to the 330Ci 5 speed:

"Although the impression persisted that the Acura design team might have shown a bit more leg with regard to the Acura's externals, our reservations about its handling went out the window after the first curve was negotiated. The car's spanking-new helical limited-slip differential produces an amazing transformation that conceals any suggestion that it is a front-driver. Logged one tester after a hard pass through a series of switchbacks, "Phobic about front drive, bud? Try this! I got your front drive right here!" Another notation: "Love the way this bites into corners. The limited slip really works. Inspires lots of confidence."

Perhaps a 10/10ths all-out thrash on a racetrack might reveal front-drive handling quirks such as torque steer and latent understeer owing to the CL's 60/40 weight distribution. But brisk highway travel (7-8/10ths) offers up a package with predictable, neutral handling and minimal body roll. The Acura CL is simply the finest-handling front-drive road car we've ever tested."

"The test track revealed numbers that can only be related to a simple lack of rubber."

"Although the Bimmer hooks up with crablike resolve in the corners, it produces considerably more body roll than the Acura. "

Handling was not even a factor in the comparison. The only major factors were price, comfort, and braking.

Drive em instead of quote em. The CL is big, the 330 is not big.

I've never driven either on the track. Have you? I know which is bigger, but that doesn't mean a whole lot in this case. Yates drove both these cars back to back in the twisties and on the track, and reported that the handling characteristics are very similiar. I don't think he was talking out of his ass like you are, either.

Chill homey, I've driven em. The CL feels like a big Accord with a limited slip, the Bimmer feels like a Bimmer. That is my report.

So about that SRT-4...

I've driven em too. Down Erie Boulevard, onto 690 West, onto Hiawatha Boulevard, and back. Not to Watkins Glen Raceway or Route 14A.
