Luxury Minivans are not generally not good sellers. Chrysler T&C is so deeply discounted, that its the same cost as a comprable Odyssey which are selling at msrp. Most luxury buyers who needs lots of rooms buy full size SUVs.

I don't think Acura need any minivans. The odyssey is selling very well, and I think Honda makes the best minivan in its class

The Highlander, too. A CR-V with a V6 would be pointless IMO since the 4 cylinder is just as fast as the Escape V6...but maybe a longer CR-V that'd serve as a small Pilot and have the J30A1 or J30A2? I think that'd sell very well. problem is, it'd have to be smaller than the Pilot and very different from the CR-V (and more expensive).

Exactly!

What more can Acura offer that the Odyssey doesn't have? Not needed in Acura's lineup.

Minivans aren't prestigous. Most Americans buy luxury cars because of the name, not because of the luxury, styling, or features. Case in point Lexus.

True, but offering the v6 will differentiate it significantly from its honda sibling...I agree w/ur assesment whole heartedly, but I think if Acura can find this specific niche, it'll do well w/ this vehicle as long as say, it tops off at 31K
