Honda Hatred
I think I now know why Honda didn't go full swing into the hole import scene. Honda got very popular fast, kinda too fast some people. When I go to other boards like freshalloy, is300.net, max.org, altima.net, dsmtalk, and some other boards there is A LOT of Honda hatred. But when I got to regular boards like my school has a board, and C&D forums, guess what, even more hatred. It isn't that they hate Honda is it that they "hate on Honda" meaning they always putting the company down, most of the time when it isn't call for.
They laugh at the new Si, call the Accord butt ugly, and they always calling Honda slow. I think Honda kinda knew this was gonna happen and that is why they are trying to downplay the import scene. This sucks because Honda has great products. I think Honda has grown too big, too fast, but that isn't Honda's fault. Kinda like why some people hate on Microsoft and Sprint PCS.
Market domination or just doing better than others causes hatred. This really isn't Honda's fault. Now lets imagine if Honda brought over all the Type-Rs and then gave them more power than what they have now, people would hate honda even more. And this whole thing of calling honda slow isn't fair, yes the Civic is slow, it ain't suppose to be fast. It is an economy car!
When the haters start calling Honda slow, there is always somebody to come back with a comment about how the S2000 is fast, which it is, then somebody says "no torque" or something stupid. But lets face it, yes there is a lack of torque but it still can hang or beat a Mustang GT.
I think Honda is starting to lose the respect that it deserves.
What can be done about this??
Oh and somebody in one of thse forum spoke badly about the RL, needless to say I got him.

Oh and this is whay made me make this post:
Kinda funny, but wrong
I must admit I did laugh, but it was more at the dools and the car than the fact that it is a honda.

haters will always be haters, no way around it.
if i want to talk about hondas, i'll go to a honda board
if i go to a nissan board, they talk about hondas
if i go to a toyota board, they talk about hondas
why can't they talk about their own cars?

The reason Honda isn't bringing their best cars over and trying their hardest is because THEY DON'T NEED TO. Doing all that stuff you described costs a lot of money, and Honda has no need to spend all that money. They are doing fine right now in North America because Detroit puts out such ****ty cars that an underpowered Civic is more than enough to compete with them.

An Int said, let them hate. I hate Toyotas. Although I have a valid reason. People hate Honda because it's a natural human instinct to take one thing's side and not another...I take the side of Honda and Nissan and BMW. But I do not HATE all other companies, I merely dissaprove of some of their crappy products and/or their philosophy.
Basically, I don't care. I'll let them hate, and I'll continue to drive around in my Honda Civic (
) and beat up on their asses with my performance, comfort, gearbox, reliability, and looks.

I hate domestics. We rag on them in HAN all the time. I'm sure any F-body site rags on Hondas all the time. It's just part of life. There's no need to change anything. We love our Hondas and hate the big three. They hate Hondas and love their cheap piles of plastic and metal. Other import people love Mazdas and not Hondas. No big deal. As long as Honda keeps up the quality and keeps thinking ahead of Detroit, there's no need to worry.

Sure, we yearn for their hotter products overseas, but if their current cars continue to sell at record rates, fiscally it's unreasonable to dump money into an uncertain resource.
