Sounds good...I hope it comes in a manual.

An I liked it better when BMW named their cars for the engine displacement. 335 to me means a 3.5 liter engine. Why not just call it a 330t?

I'm sure it will. Yeah, BMW's numbering is getting confusing

BMW's last 2 number indicate the engine power output level, not the displacement.
Mercedes does the same.
In Germany, they tax the car by horse power, not displacement.

wtf are you talking about? :screwy:

BMW (as currently listed on BMW's website):
325: 184hp
328: 230hp
330: 225hp
335: 300hp

Mercedes:
E350: 268hp, 3.5 liter engine
E550: 382hp, 5.5 liter engine
E63 AMG: 507hp, 6.4 liter engine
not all of the models names follow the engine displacement, but the names definately do not indicate the horse power.

I said: "engine power output level", not output horsepower number.

2006 US-spec 325i and 330i both come with 3.0L engine, turned to produce 215HP and 255HP.

2005 Euro-spec C200K and C230K both come with 1.8L engine, turned to produce 165HP and 192HP.

When this BMW 3.0L make 215HP, the power output level comparable to other 2.5L engine, they call it 325i.
When this MB 1.8L make 192HP, the power output level comparable to other 2.3L engine, they call it C230K.

Engine power output level, not acual output horsepower number.
