Right, and how many v6 versions of RL's competitors do you see on the road that are loaded with so many options that their price nears 50k?

Uh have you ever sat in one? The material quality is much, much better and so is the attention to detail. The RL has the same problem all Acuras have...they have no better fit and finish than an Accord, which isn't a bad thing, but it's not a step above the competition. Quality controls and supplier demands on Lexus' are much much higher than on Toyotas.

Have you ever sat in the new RL? It has better material and assembly quality than any of its competitors, including E class, GS, M35 and especially the 5 series, heck even 7 series. Yes I said it, it feels more solid than Lexus. There's no comparison between RL and TL, never mind Accord. Acura didn't cut a single corner in this one. Yeah, its not LS or S class, but it's a lot cheaper. Comparing it to Accord is plain out stupid. :screwy:

The problem with RL's interior is despite its quality it just doesn't look as gorgeous as M35 or GS, and much the same can be said about it's exterior. But then again, M35 looks gorgeous but you get tin can body panels and second rate paint job with gorgeous yet flimzy interior. I strongly believe RL is the best car for your 50k if you are looking for V6 AWD loaded with every possible option.

i have been in an E55 AMG a few times-- everything seemed nice, but the doors and stuff only shut as nice as my integra... they are solid, but like i've always been told and have found myself, you can find out alot about the build quality just by how the door shuts.

when you close a door on a RL--- it's a masterpeice.

Oh yeah, the RL doors shut like bank vault doors. E class? 5 Series? Hah, not even close.

rofl, i dont know wether you are making fun or agreeing, but yeah.

there are just so many moving parts involved with the doors, hinges, locks, pins

there is stuff that needs to be tucked just the right way (wires for one)...

the way the door shuts is dependent on how well the car can take being closed...

to make a car door shut and sound and feel solid there is alot of designing and mixed conbinations of components and designers coming together. --at least thats the way i see it

I'm agreeing - I've never seen, or rather heard, car doors close like that, my GS430 and even my parents S500 do not compare. And it's not just the doors, the whole car just feels like a tank, truly awesome.

I didn't find the leather to be nearly the quality of any of its competitors (save for the M35 whose interior just sucks IMO) and it didn't really seem to have the craftsmanship than an Audi A6 or an E class does.

Well I on the other hand do not find the interior of E class all that impressive, first of all it looks ugly, and also its dash construction is flimzy. Can't say anything about A6, I've never driven any audi.
