WTF do I look like, the God of Honda? Actually, I have heard more

Dealers have gotten some notices...one says each dealership will only get 1-2 6 spds. Another says that no coupes will arrive in dealerships till mid October. I suspect they discovered an issue in the Coupes at the last minute and are rushing to fix it and change whatever it is in the assembly lines. Honda doesn't wanna screw this up.

I'm wondering what went wrong, it must be an exterior panel becuase isnt everything else pretty much the same?

By that time the 280hp G35 Coupe will be out :naughty:

Must be something like that...I really dunno. Kenn Peters, our crappy half assed automotive columnist here in Syracuse, drove a 6 speed ACV6 last week...so they must be producing some. Perhaps it is an exterior part, I have no idea.

The G Coupe is nice but for 27 grand you get nothing. I'll take the beautiful inside of the ACV6 over the beautiful outside of the G35C.

True, very true. But thing is I dont care for anything other than A/C and power windows/locks. Everything else is trivial to me. I got a brochure on the G35 Coupe and the interior really dissapoints me. It's the middle collum that's made out of plastic and pianted to look like aluminum that just bugs me so much.

And truth is, will the G35 Coupe be that much faster than the Accord Coupe 6-Speed? I dont think it will be by much. Oh wait, FWD vs RWD :fawk:

It will be faster, of course it will be.

That's all I need too, but my forte is an attractive interior design...and the G35C just doesn't have it like the ACV6 does.

Well i heard 0-60 on a base 350Z is 5.7, and I heard that on the ACV6 6-speed its 5.9. Who cares, we all know how much they vary. Niether one is slow, thats all that matters

Saw and drove my first coupe, albeit an EX V6 auto and I could only drive it around the parking lot. It was gray/black leather. My dealer (Chesrown Honda, Medina, Ohio) is the only one I've seen in the Cleveland area with a coupe. He said that when the six speed arives, in Feb., that they will have only one for the first few months, and it will have every accessory you can get before they put it on the show room floor. It's a show for all the new things (MP3, DVD, etc) you can get on it, but I certainly am not buying it. I'll wait untill they are more available. But from what I've seen, it more solid than any Honda I've ever driven, including the CL-S.

Hey, 98.... I know no one has posted in this thread for a few months, but I was wondering if you can combine it with the "Has anyone driven a 2003 Accord" thread in the Accord forum. Seems like they would fit perfectly. Use your almighty moderating powers.

I've now seen both coupe in sedan in person and am less than thrilled with the looks. Every time I am driving behind a coupe at night I mistake the taillights for a Benz which annoys me. From the sides the surfaces are just too plain with no character lines. There's no chrome around the windows which I am usually in favor of but there's just nothing to the side view of the car. I also don't like the bulging out curve. The sedan looks especially odd, and I don't really like the headlights at all.

So which Accord would I buy? Maybe an Acura TSX but probably not.

I can't do it myself, I'm not a super moderator. I think if we did it and put it in here, the Accord people would get pissed and so on, but I'll see what I can do.
