Good points MFB. The Ion is really fugly...we had quite the discussion on it in here a few months back. Its Toyota Echo inspired interior did not impress us greatly.

The more things change, the more they stay the same...... but, they'll sell. People who don't car about what they drive buy Cavaliers and Sun Biters. Ya know, the Lordstown, Ohio Cavalier plant is only about 70 miles south east of Cleveland, and at least once a month you hear these rumors in the news that the plant is closing and the city of Lordstown will wither and dry up. Now, I hate for ANY ONE to loose their jobs, but if you don't care about the quality of your product, what kind of job do you deserve in the first place?
Man lemme tell you, Ohio's losin it, I think they're ranked one of the states on the decline, all the companies are goin to the carolinas.......
We used to be a powerful state......one of the companies here is rumored to be moving everything out of our city, I swear this place will be a ghost town if that happens.........:-(

Well, GM and Ford have like 2 stamping/engine plants every other suburb in Cleveland, and I don't think they're going anywhere. I'll let them make the money (Lord knows they know how to do it). I thought the Cavalier was going out for '03, but it must be '05. Hey, you can say it outlasted the Ford Escort:fawk:

But give Ford credit, they brought in a vastly improved Ford Focus (which is actually a very nice rental car), albeit (not wanting to incur any wrath from jaje) its numerous recall issues.
damn... front aint so bad, back is hideous... and vice-versa for the cavalier
that ****'s seriously lacking some legroom, and the steering wheel/console looks like an 88 crown victoria's..

What I heard is that the version they sell in Europe is made to higher specs, is that true? If so, thats bs.
