Anyone find it wrong, strange, or funny that all the non-American brand products are made in the USA, whereas the USA brand product is made in Mexico?

Well the Camry and the Accord have always been considered benchmarks, so I think the test was more Japanese vs. Korean vs. American.

They're naturally aspirated, they're V-6s, they're front wheel drive. Legacy's turbocharged, it's a flat-four, and it has all-wheel drive.

No... not so much. I think it's more annoying that the Altima got left out. Rest assured both C&D, MT, and any other auto rags doing this comparo are going to get a spate of Fresh Alloy fanatics writing in angry letters crying Honda bias and how the Altima 3.5SE would have easily trounced the Accord and been the obvious winner across the board. And out of journalistic integrity, the February "Letters of the Editor" are going to be filled with these letters.

Hooray.

Why does it matter that it's Turbo 4 and AWD, when it make similar HP/TQ, similar priced, and similar sized? Just because Subaru doesn't have FWD cars doesn't mean they should be excluded when the Legacy is in the mid-size sedan segment.

And that matter becuase? I bet the whole Subaru production capacity doesn't match the production capacity of just the Accord or Camry. If you use the logic, then the Ridgeline shouldn't be compare with other mid-size trucks or the Tundra/Titan shouldn't be compare w/ the F150/Ram/etc.

Did you read the titles of the articles, or are you just adverse to reading all together?

These were not meant to be all-encompassing tests. They did one last year if you want to read about it. And guess what, the Nissan didn't win then and in its current form it ain't gonna....sorry....

edit: well it was in 2003, but aside from the Legacy, they're fairly similar. http://www.caranddriver.com/article....rticle_id=1807

And it didn't even beat the 4 cylinders in the group. It placed right ahead of the aging Dodge Stratus and along with the equally old Legacy.

Who's talking about the Altima? The new Legacy is so much better than the last gen one.
