Engine choices are a 2.3 liter inline four with 160 hp and a 3.0 liter V6 with 210 hp. So reasonably in line with the competition although the V6 comes up a bit lacking.

Ford seems to be AWOL from horsepower competition.
Other side of the market from Nissan and Chrysler totally.

arent they nearly the same engines avalible now in the taurus?

man, i miss my 91' sable bad man, that car was so wrong it was fun... my honda has only given me leaking tires (weight problem.. someone doesnt know how to hammer them in right.) and the wheel wells dont hit the wheels when i go over large bumps with a bunch o' people in the back. full 140hp and 215 ft-lbs of torque in the 2k range was fun driving up hill, damn miss it soooooooooo much...... first car blues
