2006 Pontiac Torrent SUV
http://www.thecarconnection.com/inde...&sid=173&n=156
The 2006 Pontiac Torrent crossover wagon that shares its architecture with the Chevy Equinox and makes its on-sale debut in the fall of 2005. The Torrent, like the Equinox, will be built in Ontario, and sports the same 185-hp, 3.4-liter V-6, in either front-drive or all-wheel-drive format. "The Torrent represents a new dimension of Pontiac 's commitment to 'total performance,'" said Jim Bunnell, Pontiac-GMC general manager. "Along with a spirited powertrain and a crisp handling package rarely seen in an compact SUV, the Torrent adds a degree of flexibility and spaciousness designed to meet the needs of owners with active lifestyles." The 2006 Torrent will join a host of new Pontiac products in that model year, the brand promises, including a G6 coupe, the Solstice roadster, and a G6 convertible.
Yeah yeah I know, it's a rebadged Chevy Equinox. Blah. But hey, it's something new.

Meh, this is GM. The enlightened few running the show over at Cadillac haven't yet managed to percolate their "groundbreaking" strategies down through the rest of the organization.

disclaimer: not trying to be racist or anything, its just my opinion that pontiac copies bmw's styling and and general marketing formula, and they market their cars to black people. :dunno: next time you see one of their commercials, keep this in mind and get back to me.
