you know i've always thought that about the latest volkswagon's and audi's. not that they don't look good, in fact i like most of them. there's just nothing exciting about the designs. people always slam japanese car companies for having "bland" designs.. well i think volkswagons and audis have some of the most boring designs out there

I love it. Simple, clean, crisp and understated class.

I love the exterior, nice and understated. The interior, however...****ing iDrive. The way the whole HVAC/stereo thing is cantered toward the driver makes it look like a cheap imitation of a Grand Prix or Aurora, throwing off the symmetry that one expects to find in such an expensive vehicle. I think they did a terrible job on the interior IMO...I'm not impressed at all. The steering wheel looks cheap (Chevy SSR), and I hate the way the driver's side of the interior gets air vents for a belt line while the passenger's side gets wood trim. The asymmetrical features of the interior would drive me absolutely insane.

Ugh, some guy in a new white A8 pulled out infront of me and instead of getting mad I just laughed. It's just funny looking. I just thought to myself "You spent 80k on THAT?" Looks like a kitchen appliance in white. It's horrible, they have no design basis other than their been there done it arch. And now they ruined their interiors.

That indent on the bottom of the doors is very neo-BMW. Bangle influenced another company. Ew.

Also the while the new corporate grille treatment is commonly mistaken for a Bugatti styling cue, it's actually supposed to draw on the old Auto Union grand prix cars and also the DKW 1000 series of road cars.

Right, I used to love watching the old Auto Union footage on Speed. But that grille just screams "Veyron" to me.
