Default BMW X3 price starts at $30,995

Autonews.com

"BMW North America has priced its new X3 small SUV starting at $30,995, including freight. BMW says the X3 will compete against the Land Rover Freelander, Infiniti FX35, Subaru Outback and other import SUVs.

The base-level X3 has a five-speed automatic transmission, a 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive. The more powerful and better-equipped X3 3.0i has a sticker price of $36,995. The X3 goes on sale next year."

Those prices are not bad at all. Only a few thousand more than a 3-series sedan.

and only a tiny bit smaller than the X5. I predict the 3.0 model will outsell the 2.5 model...

just a guess

Not bad? This is BMW... those models aren't nicely equipped. To get all the nice amenities the price is going to skyrocket. The yuppies are gonna' be lining up out the door.

I wonder how it'll stack up against the MDX. Pretty tough act to follow, methinks.

I must say that I am surprised by the lack of a standard manual transmission.

yep but the bigger engine models get some of the option equipment in the smaller engine standard so the fully loaded price for the 3.0 should be a tad over 47K

or the price of a X5 3.0 with sports and premium packages.

BTW X3 is now on BMWusa website on their build your own

It's much bigger than that. I've see it already and I was confused by it's size. I was thought it to be an X5 but it turned out to be an X3. h: We just got one at school.

:werd: I read X3 is like 4inches shorter in length than the X5 and nearly the same width.
