Being Seen At Night
I have a black bike, black helmet, and black leather jacket. It really wasn't intentional. It just worked out that way. What tips do you guys have to help me be seen at night?
I was thinking reflective tape or stickers. I don't want to look stupid if at all possible. But on the other hand I want to be safe.
I found some black tape that reflects bright white. I ordered it. Have you guys ever used this product before?

I also saw this:

Any other tips/suggestions?

i know its expensive but maybe think about getting a two toned black jacket (red/yellow/white/silver) for riding at night? maybe get something a little warmer than your other jacket since its cooler at night :dunno:
ive never ridden at night, not really all that enthusiastic about trying it this year, either h:

I usually ride with a jacket that has built in retro reflective strips. Even with those reflective strips, sometimes I put on a bright neon yellow safety vest that has wide retro-reflective strips on it over my riding jacket.
When I get to my destination, I take off the vest and stow it.
Yeah I look like a dork, but anything that increases my night time visibility is a good thing.

From my own newb experience, it took me 4 weeks of day time riding and practice until I felt comfortable tackling night riding. I enjoy riding at night more than during the day.
No matter what anyone says or does, you have to ride your own ride.

I went to a Harbor Freight and bought a generic mesh reflective safety vest. I just made sure it was large enough to fit over my riding jacket.
If I'm riding at night with a backpack on, I'll just wrap the vest around the backpack.
Yeah I like riding at night too. The roads are mostly clear, and it just is more peaceful. I do avoid riding on Friday nights. Too many people live to party on Friday night.
Also, I try to stay off the roads when people out at bars tend to go home...usually starts around 11:30pm.
