the 600RR is now the flagship supersport 600 for honda, greater technology advancements, higher strung engine, braking advancem,ents, etc...its just built to race for 2006.
the F4i, is now classified as a sport tourer, but the only difference between the 2006 F4i and the 2002 lets say is that they have a one piece seat...its essentially the same bike that was consitered the flagship 600 a few years ago, and still packs enough punch for any regular biker to enjoy
thats just a short version
RR = current supersport
F4i = 4 years old supersport, but brand new.

i'd imagine the reasoning behind this being that supersport insurance is through the roof. by being classified as a ST instead of an SS they are effectivly bringing down the insurance.
the RR is more advanced than the F4i, but for most the F4 is enough.

My insurance went up $14 a year when I went from an 86 GS550EF to a 97 TL1000S!!!! now I pay $280/year for 100/300/50 and I'm 19 with only 1 year riding. but with no tickets.
If you want cheap insurance though, get a triumph Speed four or an older Speed triple. Both were under $300/year. Compared to the pirate bike (CBR600RR) which was almost $900 for the same coverage, not to mention you'll pay even more for full coverage required by your bank.
