I'm sure there is enough torque, it's the gearing that would matter.
But it would be great to see them come out with a Type-S version of the MDX, jump up the horsepower, add some styling changes, and a maybe if we were really lucky maybe a sequential sport tranny!!!

The current power to weight ratio isn't very impressive, it's has some serious dead weight, the powerplant needs to be strengthen in order to compete with other SUVs.

And id have to agree with Awais. But there is a ML55AMG....... but not M version of the X5.
Anyways, I'd think the same engine bored and stroked to a 3.8L would make sense until the next gen comes along. But who knows..... :dunno:

Acura is going to make changes on the RL first before everything.

Actually, I've just heard from a VERY reliable source that the MDX will keep it's current displacement but the horsepower will be boost by 20HP.
As far as the RL goes apparently there will only be some very little changes to the in/exterior.
BUT I've also heard that there will be some fairly major changes to the 1.7 EL (in/exterior and packages).
......I'll leave you will that.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a horsepressure boost on MY2003 mid-cycle update, but 3.5 is a big V-6 as is, so I don't expect displacement boosts. It's quick enough for it's class...8.4 seconds from 0-60mph.

That's pretty slow considering its European competitors are all running 7s.
