Honda has delayed the release of their new Odyssey to late 2004, and I cannot explain why. Maybe it is just to juice out every penny from the old version.

It has been very hard to find out anything about the new design and I think I am going to be forced to shop elsewhere for an up-to-date van, namely the Sienna. Here is a link to an apparent picture of the new Odyssey on a German website. These are apparently still difficult to come by:

This looks like the redesigned Odyssey, that I hoped would be available in 2004. MotorTrend magazine says the Odyssey will be redesigned in 2004, while Vtec.com says mid-year 2004 as a 2005 model. No response from Honda, it appears they are hush, hush about what their intentions are. Does anyone know for sure when it will be out? I own an Odyssey, and what to trade it in, but want to see the amenities are, such as an automatice lift-gate, on the redesigned one. Someone posted on Edmunds discussion line that the new Odyssey will have many many features. If anyone has any information, please share it.

 

I understand the new odyssey has been delayed to make sure every feature on the new Sienna is also on the new odessey. Plus, they are still is relatively short supply and the dealers don't need to do much discounting to sell them. Try looking for a used odyssey and you'll see how hard it is to sell them. That said, my dealer said sales have slowed down since trhe new Sienna has become available in reasonable numbers.

I would rather have the Latitude/Stream over an Odyssey.

 

my friends is ****ing crazy i got to drive it like two nites ago .. they got hella torque .. i spun them for a few seconds no brakes or nothing.. i was like damn.. maybe a odyssey engine swap is in order
