Towing package-Transmission Problems
Wondering if anyone out there has had problems with pilot transmissions when there is a towing packaged installed.
Ours is a 04 pilot bought new and dealer installed towing package.
I have 180,000 km on it and there seems to be a rattling noise when the torque converter locks up.
If I keep it in D3 around town there is no problem, it only happens when the torque converter tries to lock up at low speeds. Anything over 90 klm and it is fine.
I am not sure how serious this is but what I have been reading sounds like a major transmission problems. I am not interested in spending $4000 to replace tranny.
Any help would be great.
