97 CRV, no reverse
My tranny drives fine in all forward gears but when you shift into reverse it just wines like a pin is trying to drop into a hole to initiate the gear. When the engine revs up the noise speeds up. when you put it in park the noise slows down until stopped. It is like the parking paw on a domestic tranny when you throw it into park before the car is at a complete stop. Any ideas?

99 crv has same problem
My 99 crv tranny went out and I bought a used 00 low mileage tranny and put it in 5 mths ago.It works great but about a mth ago started grinding and now wining when you put it in reverse sometimes.All forward gears work great and reverse will work fine when it doesnt slip.If I knew where to get a rebuild kit and detailed instructions I would probably fix it myself but the place I bought the used tranny from is going to cut me some slack and repair it for half the cost
