Well, I said it assuming that these pilots used regular, not premium gas.

The 2005 brochure sez regular with premium recommended for towing.

The spark advance is automatic and is adjusted by the ECU. Someone suggested that running 87 could damage the vehicle. This is simply not the case. However, if you do run higher octane fuel (91 or above), you will gain additional HP. If you choose to run 87 (which the Pilot was definitely designed to run), you will achieve the standard 240hp. Otherwise, there will be no adverse effects.
