This was an awesome event! Turnout was low, but the weather was shady all week. Those who made it found nothing but 80 degrees and sunshine.

This was my first autocross, and I am addicted (even though I sucked!)

I got 13 runs at the autocross plus hanging out with everyone, checking out cars, and all that on a beautiful day!

A big thank you to Mike (CivicSiRacer). I finally met him, and he's a great guy. He helped me out a lot, taught me some important things, and was just really cool to hang out with. Plus his car's really nice.

It was great watching the 2 ITR's, the teal Civic, Mike's blue Si, and the white CRX ripping through the course.

A really fun day, I had a great time!

woohooooooo I had so much fun!

Even if I did slide through those finish line cones on what would have been my best run too...oh well, I had a blast!

running that day makes me really want new rims/tires. the stock width and old tires just gave me no lateral stability at all.

there's another one there on aug 16th. this time's it's an autocross only, enter through gate D i believe. i'm considering going there, but i don't know how much more my stock tires can handle. way too much sliding last time.

maybe i'll go just for the experience and not care about times at all.

that sounds like a plan. but you should really get some new tires if they were sliding that bad.

I thought the course was boring and catered to cars with horsepower and torque. Definite a power course not a finesse course. I had my foot flat on the ground in alot of sections. I think I used the brakes twice on that course

The jerk off you are talking about is Ernie. He's a nice guy, it was just very confusing and frustrating for him since Englishtown and some other guys weren't communicating with him. So he had to guess what they wanted him to do like back in March.

My best time was a 34.1 on my 1st and 2nd run. My 3rd run was a 36.xxx cause I went into the cone wall at the finish line That would have been a 33.xxx Oh well

Jon what were your air pressures? That would help in the lateral stability. I thought about also going to the August 16th event, but I have to check with the wife. There's also a Friday autocross at Giant's Stadium August 22nd and 29th. I might go to the 29th one.

I was running about 27-29 psi all around (crappy tire gauge)...stock tires call for 30F/29R. The chalk lines very totally worn off, so I had a lot of lateral rollover. I don't think it's so much the tire pressures, but the fact I'm running on pretty beat up tires. Tread is okay on them, but their overall condition is very poor, so just based on that, they tend to give too easily.

I'm looking into new rims in a month or two, once I can afford them. I know you're running on K1's which are 15x7. Is there much difference over 15x6.5 Rotas (C8, C10 or Slips) or Konig (Heliums)? I'll be giving the Azenis a try also.

Aug 29th sounds good!

Thanks.
