Tread is okay on them, but their overall condition is very poor, so just based on that, they tend to give too easily.

I'm looking into new rims in a month or two, once I can afford them. I know you're running on K1's which are 15x7. Is there much difference over 15x6.5 Rotas (C8, C10 or Slips) or Konig (Heliums)? I'll be giving the Azenis a try also.

Aug 29th sounds good!

Thanks.
That's way too low! I'm running stiff sidewall tires and run 40f/47r. For street tires you need at least 45psi front and 40 psi rear.

my tires call for 30F/29R...is it safe to put them up around 45?

also, please let me know what you think about the 6.5" vs. 7" width in 15" rims from my last post. thanks mike.

Yes it's safe. You can put more pressure in tires AS Long as you do not drive on them for long periods of time. Like my tires have a limit of 51psi but I put 60psi in them on Saturday for the drags.

And as for 6.5" vs 7" wider is always better but you need a tire that will work on a 7" vs a 6.5". 205 is great for 7" OR 6.5" but will sit better on a 7" wheel. As far as difference in feel you will prolly never notice a difference. As you get faster and better maybe that .5" you will feel. I'm thinking of trying the 15x6.5" Heliums myself since I can get them dirt cheap from my sponsors

I also found out why I was running so CRAPPY at Honda Fest. One of my spark plug wires was either pulled off (by someone else) or it shook itself loose - which I would think is hard to do. I'm hoping someone wasn't trying to be a cheaper and pull my spark plug wire off my distributor. My fastest time was a 16.3, which with my mods I should have at least been in the 15s.

AND there was also a crack on my my header right by the hanger.

thanks for the vids mike!

and yeah...a loose spark plug wire must've been my problem too!

either that or the fact that i was a autocross virgin and apparently i got the tire pressure theory ALL wrong.

i'm trying to make it down to giants stadium on the 29th. with proper tire pressure this time
