Good or bad idea to put a turbo on a 99 LS auto. Dont want to run high boost cause it will blow tranny for sure but what if i keep it at like around 5-7 will it hold up. Dont have the money to swap engine and tranny to manual( also to much work), and i owe to much on the car to trade it in.

 

you will be faster with a stronger torque converter from some company im sure someone knows who makes them and a nice jrsc under the hood. you got to think about when you are boosting its somewhere around 3k and up and the auto wont take advantage of that as well as it would a supercharger because sc's are all time boost.
