Yes i was thinking about buying a set of performance cams and and intake mani. I have heard Skunk 2 makes the best. I see a lot of cams, which is the best brand.:irock:

Toda makes good cams, so does Crower. Do a search and get some numbers. Also, look for some dyno charts so you can get some good comparisons. I've heard that Type R cams make a decent upgrade without breaking the bank.

if you're not going for a crazy all motor build up, i wouldnt recommend the skunk2 i/m. the stock gsr is just fine.

Something you should learn very quickly when it comes to picking car parts: there is no "best" anything. You have to take into account how much money you want to spend, what other mods you're going to be doing, what sort of power you want to make and what sort of powerband you'd like to have. Once you decide on those things then you can figure out which route you'd like to take.

b18c1 motors love CTR pistons.

i'm assuming this is with tuning as well though.

One dyno graph doesn't indicate a trend. Unless you can show me a baseline run of the same car before the CTR pistons were installed, that data is pretty worthless.

See those are the kind of results that i was promised from my honda tech. I am not too smart in these kind of areas but the baseline copression ratio of the GSR is about 10 and if the new pistons were to raise it to a full 12.04 now wouldn't that give a nice little boost. Now i dont need a lecture about my ethics and my thoughts all i need is advice. Is it a good idea, i can get the pistons 180 shipped, plus 70 for installation. 250 bucks for an increase in the 5-15 range in HP. Is that not a good investment. Yes i plan on getting performance cams and cam gears also. :naughty:

What you call aI lecture I call good decision-making skills. But hey whatever if you only think advice is giving you a yes or no answer that's your fault. Take it or leave it, no need to whine.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind so this thread's pretty pointless.
