Default turbo LS...

whats up guys....

ive had my car for about a year now, now goin on 170k on the good ol 94 LS engine.....anyway i was thinkin about goin turbo, im tired of bein slow, i got a guy whos going to do the work for real cheap, and he suggested that i throw the Greddy Kit on there....

he told me that i should do a rebuild first, but i dont have that kind of money, he said that if i didnt do the rebuild, we took a compression test, they were all real good numbers... we also took my valve cover off, and it was REAL clean under there....like he said hes never seen it so clean...he told me if i turbo it right now without a rebuild, id be able to run it on the recommended PSI for along time, if i dont beat it to shit 24/7....

my question is whut do you guys think about this whole thing??

You can't tell much by just taking the valve cover off and noticing it's clean. If the compression test checked out ok, then you should be good to go. As far as running on boost, as long as you are properly tuned and don't detonate, you whould be ok.

um......thats a lot of miles to put a turbo on. i know people who dont recommend a turbo for my LS and it only has 63k on it. but its up to you and how hard you push your car. Good luck if you do go through with it.

I have a 92' integra with 155,567 miles on it. I am pushing 8psi daily on stock internals and never did a rebuild. Just make sure you have all the right fuel properties so you don't BLOW UP. I recommed 10:1 Vortech FMU, 350cc injectors, and a new fuel pump. YOu also need a missing link sensor or you can make your own check valve system.
