Default *NEW* Acura Integra

Im thinking about getting a new car, so im trading in my 94 Honda Civic EX with 130k miles and an automatic tranny. How much would that help me towards an integra?

Also im thinking about getting a GS or a GS-R, is it true that GS have everything the GS-R have except the b18c1 motor?

If so, Do you guys think it is smart to get a really low mileage GS and just save up money for a GS-R. Im not really looking for speed right now, just a car that will last really long and very luxurious. I only have 7,000 dollars to spend so please give me some advice on buying an integra. I thought about getting the GS-R if its close to the same amount of mileage the GS has. But if the GS has some for significantly cheaper i would probably go for that.

How much mileage do you think a 6000-7000 dollar GS and GS-R Should have on the Odometer?

BTW. I live in Arizona, so hopefully the location makes a difference on the Price.

For $7k you should be able to get a '95-'96 GSR w/ 80-90k on it. If you went for a GS or LS of the same year and mileage, expect to pay about $1000 or so less.

And if you're looking for luxury, bear in mind that leather wasn't standard on the GSR until '99(I think). It wasn't on a whole lot of Integra's before that, and I don't think it was even an option on the '94-'95.

If you're not looking for speed, go with a GS or LS. They're a fair bit cheaper initially, insurance is significantly less, and they're a lot easier to find. The Special Edition (SE) is the one that has everything but the GSR engine. Keep in mind too that you'll have to pay taxes and liscensing fees on top of the purchase price. Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the info JGordon, Now i wonder,
Wat options come standard with the LS, and GS? Wat kind of mileage should i expect for about 6-7k? If i can find a 95 SE, wat kind of mileage should I expect on those? Wat you think the price would range about for INsurance for 17 yr old for a Ls, Gs, SE, Gs-R? So none of the cars will save me $3,500, just wonderin cuz thats how much a swap to a b18c1 cost in my area...

Don't buy an LS/GS/RS/SE and plan on swapping in a B18c1. That will cost thousands more than just buying a GSR.

I have a '94 LS, and it has power windows, power locks. But no sunroof or leather. The RS version is the stripped down one available with no power options, but that doesn't sound like what you're looking for.

Insurance would probably be a bitch for a GSR for a 17 yr. old. I bought my LS when I was 19 (with 2 tickets and an accident on my record) and I initially paid over $120 a month for full coverage with a $500 deductible. My rates have since gone down significantly since I've had no tichets in the last 2 years, but it's still more expensive than most of my friend's cars.
