Anyone had their car broken into but not stolen?
If so, did you have any anti-theft prevention? What? What did they do to your car? Does it look like they tried to steal the whole thing or just out of it? What do you think stopped them?

yeah.. i had clifford concept 200.. they tried to break my window (noobs).. not sure.. my alarm cause it was in front of my house.. i was about to open a can of whoop ass on them.. so when i saw them take off i chased after them..

Some idiots tried to use a crowbar on mine 'teg a few years ago. They didn't get in, but they did cause some damage to the door that I had to have repaired.

I used to drive a '97 Camry. Somebody threw a bowling ball through the window, took 3 empty CD jewel cases and a pair of sunglasses. Somebody scared 'em off before they could get my CD deck (Which I had conveniently taken the faceplate off and stored indoors.)
The cops wouldn't let me keep the bowling ball, though. Said it was "evidence."

My old 89 civic got broken in too, I had a viper alarm which was not armed at the time, they were pretty good, the old door skin bend under the door handle and they were in. My collection of CD's was taken. Around 100 Cd's. These were original's not burn's. A lot of good one off hard to find dj stuff. I have a 2000 civic si now, I run a nice viper 850. I also have a glock 17 loaded and ready just inside my bedroom window.

some idiots had been trying to get into my 93 accord before it was totaled; first time my neighbor scared them away. second time, my mom was sleeping right in front of the window and the dog woke her up. all i know is that she scared the hell out of me and im a hard sleeper. my mom told me that the guy got the sh** scared out of him when she started banging on the window like a maniac screaming to get the fu** away from my god damned car. anyways, i didnt have any anti theft deterants at the time. after that incident, i went and got an alarm. i think they wanted my airbag though. i heard those things are hot items.
