Well, i made my decision, and im gonna drive the 93 w\ 125k miles home this teusday.
im excited, cant decide if i wanna keep it stock or not, after all im a chevy man that happens to like integras, so im buying it for fuel efficiency, would intake and exhaust take away from mpg, and if so how much?

In theory it should help gas mileage. I'm not sure if it actually does though. Oh and keep the stock powerplant. If you wanna go drastic with the car turbo it.

^ Bolt on a turbo to an engine with 135k+ miles? :eh: Not without some measure of internal work..(e.g, sleeves, forged rods, pistons.)..:eekno:

I never said just throw a turbo on and run 20 lb.s of boost bud. I'm just saying that a turbo and internals and a turbo manifold and maybe higher compression pistons would be better than a swap.

It makes the engine run more efficiently, but not more fuel efficiently. There is a slight difference. When you bolt on the power adders, the engine flows more air. Since it is getting more air, it also takes more fuel to mix with that air. This means it will burn more gas, faster, but not too much so.

well poo, guess what? i changed my mind!
heh, the 93 with 125k was dirty, motor was leaking, had dirt and oil all over it, interior was trashed, so after some hard thinking i gave that idea up.. BUT! i found a 91 its red, not a fan of red, i wanna paint it midnight blue, but i've already settled the deal on this one, a 91 GS, 138k miles, taken great care of, all maintnence records kept, interior is clean, almost flawless, motor is clean, no signs of leaks or dirt, body is straight, a few faded spots but thats natural for its age. im saddened that it has 10 less hp, but i can get over it. do HP chips really work? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2430241726
or are they just a waste of money? well, thanx for all ur help in decisions, im glad i finally found the integra for me!

More like, that's natural for red :chuckles:

The horsepower difference isn't really a big deal, you'll probably never notice the difference between the 90-91 and the 92-93. Those chips do nothing for you unless you have the exact set of modifications they are programed for. A Mugen program on a stock engine will run super rich, which will hurt the overall power output and crud up your sparkplugs fast. Did I mention you have to be really good with a soldering iron to take the old one out and get the new one in?

From a former G2 owner, congrats on purchasing yourself a G2 Integra!
