Default polyeurethane bushings...

ok well im gonna order a set of polyeurethane(sp?) bushings from summit racing, but im worried, because isnt polyeurethane a cheap material? especially for bushings?? anyone ever boguht and used these? are they holdin up?

if it helps you, polyurethane has better characteristics than conventional rubber. it won't dry or crack as quick as rubber. if you are concerned about structural stability of it, it's more sturdy than rubber. if you are worried about it drying out, you can always apply grease to it. :thumbup: it'll be okay!! indulge...

i went to a local import store and had them order it and it was supposed to be in about mid july...still no call. ill call them and see whats up. they told me it was on backorder

Also keep in mind one thing, your ride is going to be much more firm then stock. While this is good for spirited driving, hitting bumps on the road is going to send a jolt through the steering wheel. But if that isn't a concern of yours, then you're really going to love provided handling.

They need to be greased, will squeak and are much firmer than rubber. On the plus side, they are much firmer than rubber, and will probably last longer than you will. The grease should be applied on installation, but needs to be redone occasionally.
