Default bang for my buck

i got a gsr and its all stock besides the aem intake, i was thinking of dropping down some cash on a full exhaust but i decided fuk that, reason being i dont think its worth the money, i wont see a performance increase worth how much i dropped down
question is what could i do with this money instead, i had an $800 figure in mind, and how much of a performance increase will i see?
thx

i dont know about nitrous on the stock exhaust stuff. go w/ a used 4-1 header and used exhaust. that might be cheap and then u could have more for an intake manifold or then nitrous

Port and Polish head w/ portmatched intake manifold, but you'll need injectors and header.

Gut your cat, chop the muffler off, put on a universal free flowing one, that's about $80 right there. Now, used header from eBay for about $100. Now you're ready for nitrous if you want, but I think it's kind of a waste of time and money (only get to go faster for a quick burst, and it's pretty bad on your engine).

Now you have about $600 there. If you want some quick performance, something that wil last for the long run, get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2429162023

That's for an LS, but maybe they'll do one for a GSR, not too sure, e-mail them. If they can, for $600, that's going to be your BEST hp/dollar. I'm going to do it.

Get a set of good tires, the yokohama AVS intermediates are the best low price performance tire out there, I have tried a few, but no good in the snow.

1. You don't need injectors or a header to run a ported head.

2. Just welding on a muffler without piping, and gutting the cat won't do anything..the stock exhaust piping will still be the bottleneck.

3. Nitrous is not bad on an engine when properly tuned and used.

4. A throttle body/manifold combo won't really do a whole lot for a stock car, and it will NOT be your best HP per dollar....that is hands down Nitrous Oxide.

I think you have some learning to do before you try and kick knowledge.
