Default vortech for GSR

Should i go with the vortech supercharger for my GSR which takes it from 170hp to 278hp or should i get a turbo kit??? I've always been a huge fan of turbos, i have a first gen talon TSI, but the vortech seems so nice and easy. More than likely i will go with the vortech, but what exhaust would work good with it. I know only some exhaust work good with certain turbo setups. Let me know duders.

Go turbo, vortech isnt worth the money. With a turbo you hit peak power at like 5000rpms and it stays there until redline, with the vortech the power keeps building as you go up the rpms.

The 278hp they listed is probably at 8100 rpms where you cant use it.

Go turbo!

i am no expert on forced induction, but i have read a few threads about people preferring the jackson supercharger for some reasons.

you might do a search and see what the deal is...

Save the money and get a turbo kit. It takes twice as much time to install the Vortech in your car because the engine bay is crammy. And I have heard about people with Vortech having oil leak and problems with the jackshaft splines stripping. Plus you can only reach the max hp at almost redline and still not making as much as the turbo does. Not realy worth the time and cost.

Go turbo (like a Drag kit, or Fmax or Revhard) those are nice kits! The Vortec SC's peak numbers are nice, but who really cares if u make 270 hp at 8000k rpm, its alot more usable if you have 250hp from 4500k - redline. instead of having shitty power untill redline.......look for some dyno plots and you'll see what im talking about.
