Default b16 swap burning white....

smells like burning oil, and its way thick.

is it possible we hooked up a hose wrong? could a hose be feeding oil back into the motor incorrectly?

or should we do a pressure test to see if the rings are trash?

I would suggest doing a leakdown test. Are you using synthetic?

Do a compression test and a leakdown test.

Synthetic oil will burn white. You probably have a ring related problem.
