Default Crank pulley tool

Where can I find a crank pulley tool? I called the honda dealer and they don't carry them. I might have to make my own, using a 2" pluming fitting and a pipe welded together. Any advice?

i believe he is talking about the tool to keep the pulley in place while he is unbolting the bolt.

you can try a local car parts store for the pulley holder. (e.g. kragen, pep boys, or napa auto parts)

oddly enough I found out you can just use an impact wrench. No special tool is needed.

i've heard that it isn't a good idea to install a crank pulley with an impact wrench because it can cause some damage.

An easy method is to remove the small metal flywheel panel that protects it from debris located beneath the engine. I pinned a fat screwdriver in there between the flywheel teeth and used the oil pan and header (if I remember right) to pin it in place. Taking a BFH to the socket wrench broke it loose with a couple of smacks.
