Do kill me but what do you mean hanging? I just replaced my break pads and rotors about 6 months ago. Hawk hp pads and brembo rotors.

in otherwords, are the pads touching the rotors other than when u apply the brakes. if so that could really affect the car

No, they are not touching. I don't think that's the problem.

how about just taking it to a shop & have them giving it a tune up. from the dealer it's like $100. just tell them what the problem is, might be something really simple & cheap that your missing.

Causes of bad mileage:
-gunked up fuel filter
-gunked up fuel injectors
-clogged up old catalytic converter
-bad oxygen sensor (may not necessarily throw a check-engine light)
-dirty air filter
-bad spark plugs
-advanced ignition timing

That's all I can think of for now--check out those things and see if anything looks glaringly wrong.

well, maybe because your tranny is bad when your shifting do u really have to "work it" to get the car moving? kinda like in the winter time when everyone loses @ least 20 miles a week because of warmups & extra drving time. try some injector cleaner like fatbooty's saying about the clogged injectors, & take it to advance auto where they run free diagnostics on cars now. check your plugs, filter, & oil. let us know. the filter on the firewall sounds like the culpret to me though.

Well, I got a new fuel filter, distributer cap, rotor. I'm getting new spark plugs and I'm going to clean my CAI air filter. I also have a new hi-flow cat. I'll get some injector cleaner while I'm at the store too. Hopefully it will help. If it dosen't work I'm just going to have to get a 2003 3.2CL-S 6 speed :naughty:

I don't have to work it into gear either. It just hops in first gear. Actually, that has gotten better. I don't know why it was doing that. I'm still getting the clutch replaced though.

Bad mileage is usually one of three things in hondas, 1- a hanging brake (carquest sells the pins and grease for like 6 bucks) and the brake sometimes won't hang all the time. Check for abnormal wear and make sure your integra rolls on a very slight incline. I had this problem and i went through my left rear pads they wore through in 8,000 miles 2- Bad bearing, makes a humming noise usually, give em some grease just in case, look for wear on the balls 3- Ignition, check your coil resistances, if you need help tell me, plugs should be replaced every 25,000, i reccomend beru's (they are tested best) but if you don't like 9 bucks a plug go for the ngk's, also always keep an extra set of wires around for checking those. and as always run a compression test rings are *****es.
