test pipe question
i had a konig rear section, on when i did the test pipe, so i cant say for sure but it would have to make it louder, even with stock muff. only prob i had with test pipe was a hella stinch, when pulling to a stop the gas fumes would come back around the pass. side and about gag you, hince the word test pipe, i couldn't stand it on the street daily, but it did make a lot of difference than stock cat.
does stink but seems to make a hell of difference, never ran on the track and yea not worth the fine, but as long as you have a muffler of some kind it shouldn't be to loud, my konig muf. with test pipe was pretty loud but not obnoxiously loud.
not sure on the fine, since you're in cali, expect something that'll empty your pockets. as for the power, i'd guess about 2-4 hp, if that. and you could prolly make one yourself if you had the resources.
i asked that because i live in valley center and over here cops dnt care much cause theres a lot of trucks over her that disconect their exhaust systems from the cat out..and stuff and copss dont care?????
yea the only time i have any problems at all on the east coast is when inspection/emission time rolls around, but you can usually buy one easier than you can make one, i am a fabricator but didn't wont to come up with the mounting flanges due to the ball/socket gasket coming off the header, and here i have a contact at a junk yard and he wont even sell me a convertor just for the flanges? you can however gut out your stock one and do the same as a test pipe, but of course you have to have a back up plan just in case
