well i think that i have finally made up my mind! i think i will go with the b20 block and a gsr or itr head. my friend had is motor blow up in the care of a motor shop and they are replacing it with a b20 block, and a fully buily vtec race head! it will produce about 210 or so whp, and about 150 to 170 lbs of torque.............he really got lucky

here's an idea...instead of buying a b20 block, get the ls crank and rods and put them in your gsr block. bore it out to 84mm if you want. this gives you the torque of the b20/vtec without some of the reliability issues you sometimes hear about from b20/vtec conversions. plus you have gsr oil squirters and a bottom end girdle.

I would do what snoopy said to do. I've heard of many problems coming from the b20/vtec in it just not being very reliable because its a "frankenstien motor", and snoopy's way sounds much more reliable.

well one of the other reasons why i wanted to do a swap is cause my gsr has 111k on it and i know that that isnt much for a honda motor but it would make me feel better about dumping money into a motor with less miles
