Another Solution To Trunk Noise
Just my experience with trunk rattle:
On my 99 Teg, my hatchback noise was being caused by a loose antenna. Once I tightened it, the noise was gone. Just something simple to do help the process of elimination

That piece that goes behind the rear seats so there's no opening into the trunk is the cause of mine. The carpeting has worn away on the edges and the hard board underneath is rattling against the plastic.
