Default Can I get an answer besides...

...hit the reset button?

This afternoon/evening I got into my '94 LS to go for a short ride. When I started the car, I noticed the Maintenance Required light is on constant now. I have no clue why. I just had the oil changed, along with the spark plugs. Other than taking a while to "warm-up" in the morning, there is really nothing wrong with the car. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

If thats the case, why does just over 93k seem a bit odd to me to just "pop-on"?

read the manual - if its the same as my 95 ls that light will come on and blink for the first 10 seconds after you start it if it has not been reset in the 3,500 miles - if you do not reset it before 7,500 miles it will come on and stay on - so therefore if that is the case just reset it . . most shops dont reset them so i bet thats your problem - the manual will tell you where to find it to .. i know its not the answer you want but it makes sense to me

I believe that the light will come on 7500 miles from the last time it is reset. When you did your oil change they must not have reset the timer. It's not the answer you want but just reset the light yourself and you will be good to go. Having your CEL light...that's a different story!

If you don't want to reset it, I would recommend deep fat frying your testicles at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until golden.

its a warning feature
if comes on after so many miles
i think its every 5000 miles it starts flashing and 7500 constant

so say someone reset it at around 85,000 miles it would come on around 93k
