Honda didnt do all the extra mods to it just so some dumb american could drag race it.
So when you say dumb american...do mean me specifically or Americans in?

Do you have a turbo? Which engines did Honda intend on being turbo'd? Do you know of anyone that has destroyed a B18C5 engine by adding a turbo and if so, under what conditions?

I mean all who drag race itr's.

I had turbo on my old hatch. Honda didnt intend for any engine to be turbocharged. But honda built the itr as a NA road racing integra. I mean for the price of a b18c5 you could build up a b18a/b for boost. The high compression will cause a lot of detonation which is bad for the engine.

Can't you adjust your timing and compression ratio IOT avoid detonation?

Yes to lower compression you could use aftermarket pistons. But why buy an expensive, high compression motor in the first place?

lowering compression on a b18c5 should be a crime against humanity. if anything, you should be raising it!

I am just working w/ what I have...too bad I have to start w/ an R, right?

txhatch and Snoopy, did you do your own install? IF I have any questions, can I contact you two on issues? I got some teflon tape yesterday. Don't think I will need a new oil pan gasket, but may pick one up just in case. Do I need a soldering iron for the timer?

I dont think snoopy has a turbo on his bike.

If you have any problems just post it. You will probably get a quicker answer in the teg forum. I didnt need a new gasket when i did install. I cant help you on the timer, i never had one.
