Default Need more speed!

I drive a 99 teg ls auto and im not sure what whould be the best to do to it. Do I go turbo, jackson supercharger or is it even possibly to go V-tec with my auto. . Also what would there be a possile engine swap or hybrid and keep the auto tranny. I dont want to sell the car to go to a manual Teg or swap and have to go to a manual tranny both would be to much money. I had money saved up almost to do either but i used it to pay them darn credit card bills from all the other stuff i did!

I've never really seen B-series engines swapped with auto transmissions. Something tells me there'd need to be some custom work done on the ECU used. My best advice is to sell your car and purchase a 5-speed. While it does sound like a big step, converting to a 5-speed can sometimes be a costly and unwise modification to make. Another option is to purchase a cooler for your transmission and a torque convertor.

Still, if you are looking to remain an automatic, have your LS engine outfitted for some heavy boost and turbo your car.

I would take the advice drumsy said, and I would look into getting a 5 speed if it were me.

I think that if you have enough money to go turbo that you should get a B18c1 with the 5-spd tranny. This would definitely be the best way to go. www.passwordjdm.com

Ok so i know i can swap the engine and tranny for about the same price as gettin a turbo or supercharger and gettin it installed. But isnt a tranny swap gona cost way more because of all the custom fabrication. Like they will have to add an extra pedal, custom fit a shifter and who knows what else. Seems like it would be a whole lot more to do that than go turbo,s-charge or even v-tec maybe.

go for a 5 spd. From the day i learned to drive stick I told myself I would never go back. Unless I had to get a minivan.

Hahahaha I just thought of something. A Minivan with Stick. The image is priceless...

No, they just replace the auto parts with manual parts, nothing custom about it. The hardest thing is replacing the transaxle bracket, no big deal if you (your shop) can weld.

BTW, it is VTEC. Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control.
