86-89 are 1.6L dohc engines. never heard of a sohc integra, at least in u.s.

Yeah, the only SOHC Integras are the JDM cheapie models. All USDM models are DOHC.

They are DOHC...I think the valve cover has DOHC on it, and it has DOHC stickers on the sides (don't know if anyone has one with the stickers still intact).

yep, it's a manual.


the engine looks like a zc. i'll see if i can snap some pics of my friends tomorrow. definitely a dohc though.

86-87 had the d16a1, 88-89 had the ZC.

i would love a G1 (88-89) and put a b16a in....

i owned an 89, engine code is d16a1. in fact i still have the acura service manual, no zc engine codes

hmm. that's interesting, my friend has an 88 (i think) and it has the zc. maybe they had different engines based on trim? he has an ls special.
